Feb 272019

Monday March 4, 2019, Bremer Community Room 104, Color: the color “Red” is suggested. It should be the dominant color or have a significant “Red” object in the photo.

Bill Vossler & Nikkie Rajala will do a travel photo presentation.
Buried Alive: Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Akotiri. Everyone has heard of Pompeii, buried in volcanic layers 82 feet deep after the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, five miles away, on the afternoon of 24th of August, 79 A.D. Lesser-known is Herculaneum, which was covered with lava leaving the town more or less intact. Even lesser known is Akrotiri, on the island of Santorini, which was covered in ash in 1615 B.C.
All three were destroyed by volcanic eruptions, but that’s where the similarities stop. All three were very different, and that will be discussed in the March 4, 2019 presentation by Bill Vossler and his wife Nikki Rajala, along with high-resolution color photos.

Please take a moment to download and read the March Newsletter. Written by Richard Heath, the newsletter is a great summary of new trends, techniques, equipment and how to improve shooting techniques as well a post processing.
