Lori Hutchings
These “painterly” images were done with an old Polaroid camera using SX70 film that was manipulated after exposure. I learned this craft at the John Campbell Folk Art School in Brasstown, North Carolina in 2001. Since then, I have practiced the photography and manipulation technique while traveling for business and leisure.
My fast paced work for a healthcare technology firm requires extensive travel and staying up on “bleeding edge” technology. I find the simple SX70 photo manipulation process relaxing, centering and a way to experience creativity in another venue beyond work
